Brick path.
A path of weathered brick beneath Kalach's Catalan vaults. The dusk light paints the terracotta. Barefoot.

Three nights at Casona Sforza. A wedding written in fire.
Chapter composed by The Wedding Book for Casona Sforza
Fire from the wood that cooks. Ember that signs the meat. One candle lighting another.
Three nights. Five movements. An iron chandelier above the vault, a chain of one hundred forty-four candles, a dining hall with no light but fire. Nothing decorative. Everything necessary.
Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca · Architecture by Alberto Kalach

A path of weathered brick beneath Kalach's Catalan vaults. The dusk light paints the terracotta. Barefoot.

Four meters of wrought iron. One hundred forty-four beeswax candles. Hung above the central court. Wax drips. It is the only light.

Each guest lights their candle from the one beside them. The officiant begins. The couple closes. The light travels the table in a chain.

The day's local catch and Oaxacan corn cooked over live coal. Recado negro. Wood-smoked mezcal. Three plates. One material.

Dinner runs the length of the long vault. Wooden table, raw linen, black clay. No electric light. The architecture was already there.
